Nine days on the Indian Ocean: Lamu's coral-stone lanes, Watamu's turtle beaches, and Diani's reef at the end. Most of it you'll spend on dhows.

[B]Day by day

  1. Day 01–03

    Lamu Old Town

    Walk the lanes with a local historian, then a dhow to Shela beach and the dunes.

  2. Day 04

    Archipelago sail

    A full day on a dhow out to Manda Toto reef, with lunch grilled aboard.

  3. Day 05–06

    Watamu

    Marine park snorkelling, the Gede Ruins, and a turtle release at dawn.

  4. Day 07–08

    Diani

    Dolphin dhow to Kisite-Mpunguti, then a seafood afternoon on Wasini Island.

  5. Day 09

    Depart

    Fly from Ukunda to Nairobi or out via Mombasa.

Built around the Mara River crossings. You spend four nights in a private conservancy, with a balloon flight and a day at the river with a guide who reads the herds.
